Choosing the Right Software

Authentix or AuthentiXISP??

There are two versions of AuthentiX. Depending upon your system configuration, you will either want to choose AuthentiX or AuthentiXISP. What is the difference?

AuthentiXISP

AuthentiXISP allows the administrator to create sub-administrator groups. This is important if you want to have several different groups of administrators on the same server, but with limited access to eachother's content.

Examples of situations where you will want to use AuthentiXISP:

You are an ISP hosting several different websites on a shared server. Each websites wants to administer their own usernames/passwords using browser based Remote Administration. You do not want each client to have access to the other clients' administration priviledges.

In this case, you (as the 'Main Administrator') would set up each client as a 'SubAdministrator'-and give them access only to their content directories.

You administer your company's website content. You have several divisions, and each division manager wants to manage their own access to online content. The same philosophy above applies here.

You are a project manager, and you want to give each subcontrator full administration abilities to only certain parts of the project content. Again, you would set up the system making each subcontrator a subadministrator as well.

Click Here if any of the above applies to you. You need AuthentiX ISP.

Standard AuthentiX

AuthentiX installs on the server, and allows the administrator(s) permissions to control access over all files on the server.

If you only want one administration group to control access to all access permissions for the online content, then standard AuthentiX. is the right product for you!
