Q. Current user: how do I determine who the current user is?

A. This question gets asked quite frequently :-).
Use the OCX component to find out who is logged in, http://www.flicks.com/authentix/currentusername.htm You should be able to add the component to your cgi or asp program, or you can get it out of HTTP_AUTHORIZATION and then base64 decode it.

Note that if NTCR (Integrated Windows Authentication in Windows 2000) is turned on, then CurrentUserName may not return the expected result. See the documentation to find the cause and workaround. This may affect Frontpage users and those using Visual Interdev.
