Q. In the event log, I am getting Failed to Create/Open File (1): filename. A. In one of the directories you are protecting with Basic Authentication, you have specified to get the access denied message from a text file. This file either does not exist, or cannot be opened because of its NTFS permissions. Make sure you specify a text file that exists and that IIS can access.
