Q. IIS6 - it doesn't seem to be working (when in fact it is). A. The worker processes that indicate to the system that IIS6 are running are not activated until an actual http call is made. If, on installation, it doesn't seem to be working, try protecting a directory and seeing if it is protected by making a request. It should be fine.
